Windsurfing wave and race action on Sylt

60 windsurfers from 13 nations attended the first stop of the German Windsurf Cup and the European Championships in Formula Windsurfing at the Rollei Bullet HD Summer Opening presented by Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge on the island Sylt

With strong winds on the first day, the wave riders entered the stage with wind speeds over 30 knots and waves up to 4 meters height. Klaas Voget was the best rider at this day, winning the wave title. The days afterwards the wind speed went down so the racers could enter the competition. British racer Ross Williams was the fastest rider during the competition, winning ahead of Arnon Dagan and Steven Allen.

On no-wind days, the German SUP challenge took place and in the evenings, a lot of spectators and competitors watched the various side events and bands on the stage.
