Windfinder.com now available in Korean language
Thanks to Seongouk Choi and Yeaseul Kim from South Korea, who study in the Netherlands, we are proud to release Windfinder.com in Korean language (한국어). Most pages have already been translated into Korean and more will follow soon. The Korean translation will allow our Korean users to access the Korean wind reports (observations) and the Korean forecasts in their native language. Windfinder.com available in Japanese
Windfinder is now available in Japanese at ja.windfinder.com or by selecting Japanese in the language selection box on the right hand side of the blue navigation bar.
Not all parts have been translated yet but our translator Tokuko Yatani will continue with the translation. Many thanks to Tokuko! We hope that our wind reports and forecasts for Japan will now be even more useful to our users in Japan.
Added wind reports and forecast in Japan
We added wind reports and forecasts for the following locations in Japan: Ishikari, Sapporo/Okadama Airport, Hakodate Airport (all on Hokkaido), Hakodate Airport, Sendai Airport/Shinko, Shirasato/Kujukuri, Izu Oshima, Komatsu, Shionomisaki, Nanki-Shirahama Airport, Kobe Airport, Miho/Yonago Airport (all on Honshu), Kochi Airport (on Shikoku), Kitakyushu Airport, Nagasaki Airport, Kagoshima, Miyazaki Airport (all on Kyushu), and Amami-Oshima Airport, Ishigaki Airport (all Ryukyu/Nansei Islands). The number of weather stations and forecast spots in Japan now totals 38. If your favorite windsurf, kitesurf, surf or sailing spot is still missing please let us know. Wind reports (observations) in the Netherlands added
Today we added wind reports (observations) for Lauwersoog, Terschelling, Marknesse, Wilhelminadorp, and Wijk aan Zee in the Netherlands increasing the number of currently active weather stations to 38 in this country.
Wind forecast map and spot observations/ forecast Black Sea added
Today we added a wind forecast map for the Black Sea. The existing wind reports and forecasts in Ukraine and Southern Russia are clickable on this maps as well as some new spots like Koblevo, Skadovsk, Evpatoriya, Kirillovka, Shelkino (all in Ukraine), Eysk, Sochi Airport/Adler (all in Russia), and Sinop in Turkey.
